It's because the GoldSource engine Half-Life 1 runs on is alot easier to modify than Source. I guess there are alot of restrictions in the Source engine, also Half-Life 1 graphics are a little bit more scary in horror mods but that's what I think. ;P

The co-op in this game is fun for the first 2 times. After that it gets really terrible.
