The Matrix reference?

after many years, I just watched the Matrix movie again and i noticed a scene where two characters were in a big white void called "the construct" and i was wondering if this is related to the construct map on blockland, or is it just a coincidence?

It could be. I always thought it was just Badspot's first map made.

its the same in both the movie and the game...

Definitely. It's a reference. I think I even saw a build for that once.
