Good idea, but I think that's being done. Might try the barrel though.

But bricks...
I forgot what they're called and now it's really bothering me, but there was this think where they would take logs, sharpen points on them and point them forward. Not in a wall, but a big mish-mosh. The idea was that cavalry would charge into them and get impaled.
