Did anyone notice loading datablocks is MUCH FASTER now?

Off-topic: Wow, it's hard to believe so many people remember me from something, haha.

On-topic: Upon further investigation, I speculate maybe it has something to do with the launcher "writing" files to something. Maybe there's some giant cache file from which the game loads now instead of referencing each add-on individually, only updating the cache if the file changed. Just my computer-science-based speculation though.

The only cache is the one built from joining other servers where the host has Add-Ons you don't, but that cache file shouldn't affect the servers you host or Single Player.

This is just a coincidence.

However, ever since the game stopped finding files that it doesn't have on-the-fly (now through a file manifest downloaded from the server BEFORE datablocks), datablock transfer can be done much more efficiently.
