The humor is similar obviously, but the direction and pacing aren't.

Just finished all of Sora no Otoshimono/Heaven's lost property (apart from the movie which I'll watch tomorrow) and it was great.
One of my favourite comedies for sure, I usually don't laugh out loud at funny things in anime, more just acknowledge the hilariousness inside but it made me laugh many a time.
Plus Nymph is kawaii as forget.
