Same. It's different.
SAO was nice because it had that RPG thing to it. But then the story went really awkward in the second arc.
Now we have this, which is the same, but in modern era.
The plot is good, let's hope they won't forget it up again.

I really wish they did SAO the entire time, they had so many time skips. It had an amazing feel to it that made me really want to play MMORPG's (even though I really hate them)

i think SAOs budget went all to animation then the director gave $5 to his 9 year old kid to write the story
