Kill la Kill is kinda lame compared to TTGL imo.
TTGL defs has better characters, I mean they can hardly top Kamina.

It doesn't even have the same awesome speeches as Gurren Lagann.
The characters aren't the same.
The fights involve Ryuko finding a weakness within all of the 3-stars' abilities/personalities.
No important characters died yet.

Yeah the only similarity that TTGL and Kill la Kill share is that they're both goofy and have pretty decent humor. Other than that they're pretty different.
