Author Topic: Anime and Manga Megathread  (Read 1447119 times)

I just finished Sword Art Online.
This contains spoilers somewhat.

In the first arc, which, for the love of God it actually is SAO, I was in love with the whole thing. Absolutely every part of it.
And then there's ALO which stuffs over all my ideals and what I liked about the show.
Love between Kirito and Asuna? Nope forget that, let's make half of the arc being about his sister. And the ending is literally stupid. I had more scenes of Kirito adoring Asuna in the first arc. In the last episode I don't think they physically have any significant interaction, not to mention that the anime itself ends with Kirito and his sister. Really dissapointed on the second arc. I don't like the new virtual world, and I didn't really like the guardians part well. The guardians part relied on a Deux Ex Machina which is the first time I actually noticed this in a show and realized how much it can just ruin everything (again). I wished for a really lovey-dovey ending between Kirito and Asuna, or for Asuna not to be such a lollipop princess in the second arc, which also included a lot of fanservice.. of what.. WELL HIS SISTER OF COURSE.
forget THIS SHOW.

My friends are telling me to watch SAO but the entirety of the Blockland Forums is telling me not to. Who do I believe?

watch until kirito dies

then stop watching

then you'll basically get the good part and never see the bad part!

Actually, no, watch it until the ALO arc start. The first 15 episodes (I think) are good enough. If you feel like Asura is still missing out too much after the ending, just watch episode 25 directly as it has no corelation to anything else happening in ALO (except a small thing in EP 24 but.. it's just not worth it)... Though, Asura still feels missed out of it so you still miss out even if you watch episode 25. It's a lose-lose situation :cookieMonster:

Even the end of the first arc starts to fall apart pretty rapidly what with the stuffty harem setup, pastoral getaway episode, and the stupid computer daughter.

Why does it matter that it's not them copy+pasting the same scene, but rather re-drawing it?
It just shows they were willing to put in more work for it.

First 8 eps of SAO are awesome, 9-10 are good, 10+ is loving stuff.

sir are you handicapped?

its just a thing that shows how much difference in their drawing it is (4 years bitches)

nothing about copy_pasting
