I'm going to post my thoughts on everything I'm watching this season to show off
how cool I am how much of a dumbass I am for watching this many shows at once.
Buddy Complex - Generic Sunrise fanfare in terms of characters and presentation, loads better than Valvrave but nothing that really stands out so far.
Chuunibyou Season 2 - More of the same, nothing better or worse than the first season yet. But that means it's still good.
D-Frag! - Surprisingly good, didn't even know what the hell this was about until I watched it. Genuinely funny with likable characters.
Hamatora - It's like Durarara! meets Darker than Black in terms of setting, Not terrible, but the writing isn't so great either.
Mahou Sensou/Magical Warfare - This is very obviously a light novel adaption with incredibly generic characters and story. Infodumps all over the place. Not very good.
Mikakunin de Shinkouhei/Engaged to the Unidentified - I like it, dunno if anyone else will. Likable characters (so far) and it's genuinely funny. To me, anyway.
Nisekoi - So much SHAFTism. Entertaining as of right now, so I like it. Also kind of amusing to note that the protagonist is clearly wearing the same hairclip as Yuno (Hidamari Sketch).
Nobunaga the Fool - Feels a hell of a lot like Code Geass for some reason. Weird sci-fi/fantasy mech anime with historical names thrown in. Not too bad.
Nobunagun - This is the kind of anime you watch knowing it's going to be bad but you're entertained anyway. It's not bad right now, but given the animation quality and the way the main character's actress sounds, I'm not holding out too much for it.
Noragami - This is very clearly a manga adaptation based on its presentation and pacing. It's not too bad so far.
Nourin - The way the idol turns into CG as soon as the camera angle changes freaks me out. But that's just the first episode...the second episode gives you that uncontrollable "what the forget" laugh.
Onee-chan ga Kita - One of those 3-5 minute shorts. Decently funny, and the sister character is creepy as hell (works in her favor).
Pupa - forget this show. Just...what the forget. It's a drama type thing that's goddamn 4 minutes long and there's no room for any setup or anything similar for context. You can't tell what the hell is going on from the first episode because
you can't do it in 4 minutes.
Pupipo! - Another comedic 5-minute short. Luckily, this one knows how to handle its timeframe and delivers pretty well.
Robot Girls Z - This is the best show ever.
Saikin, Imouto no LONG loving TITLE/Recently, My Little Sister is Unusual - ghost yuri incest. The entire plot of this show is the ghost saying to the little sister, "if you don't have love with your stepbrother you're going to die." You know what you're getting into when you watch this kind of thing. One problem I had was the second episode pretty much reusing the gag that the entire first episode was made up of.
Sakura Trick - The entire show is yuri antics every 5 minutes. And manages to be boring as hell.
Sekai Seifuku: Bouryaku no Zvezda/World Conquest Zvezda Plot - This show is strange, but I like it. A little slow paced, but that's not really a bad thing.
Space Dandy - This show is insane. Bit of a throwback to more 90s-style anime, but still not quite there. I kind of like it so far, but it feels like it's trying too hard sometimes.
Strange+ - 5-minute comedy short. Second place for insanity down from Space Dandy. Pretty funny. Also the blue-haired one is a trap.
Super Sonico - This show is purely for merchandising and represents all the wrong parts of moe anime. And it's still not the worst show of the season.
Toaru Hikuushi e no Koiuta/A Certain Pilot's Love Song - A few questionable events in terms of story setup, but it's pretty good so far even though the characters are mostly cardboard cutouts. More on the drama side of anime.
Tonari no Seki-kun - 7-minute short. It's not really funny and kind of shows Kana Hanazawa isn't that great of a voice actress (she's much better in D-Frag because the voice actually fits her character). Seems to be aimed towards younger audiences because of its style.
Wake Up, Girls! - Show about idols. It's ok...voice acting is a little on the meh side because they're mostly new (speculah says they're trying to make them into actual idols).
Witch Craft Works - lololol J.C. Staff doing another LN adaption. At least it seems to be aware of how dumb it is. Still entertaining.
Wizard Barristers - The pacing in this is pretty bad and the art is a little eh. Characters aren't really likable either. It's by the guy who did Kite and Mezzo Forte so the protagonists of all three look exactly the same. Also has Norio Wakamoto as a perverted frog.
they arent even trying anymore with this harem stuff
you do realize that's an eroge adaption and pretty much required to be terrible because of that, right?
