Apparently "Bahnt" is the correct translation for "Ban" in technological terms, but whatever. Verbot sounds cooler.

"verbieten" is the infinitive for "forbid" (more or less)
"verbot" is the past tense
"verbiete" is what you were looking for.
However there's also a 'bannen' of sorts, among other words that could work too.
