If so, then I'd like to inform you that you must not make a topic because you heard of something not even that revolutionary on a server.

And I doubt he'd even post here in response to your questions.

Bushido:
i didn't say 'modellers'

i actually specified barn because he modeled cars and is big on the whole 'vintage' thing and i figured that would expand (or at least be an IMPOSSIBLY AMAZING THEME) to racetracks

The Bevel Cup
will probably not be called the 'bevel cup'. it was a tentative title fdasfs

but the basic concept is simple: a bunch of people work entirely independently on their own go-kart tracks, that would all come together over probably Thanksgiving Break (read: next week) to form a whole probably 5-or-6 track circuit

if you want to join in, the guidelines are simple and are pretty common-sense as far as kart racing goes on blockland

Don't overuse jumps; in fact, avoid the stuff out of them- if the track requires a jump somewhere make sure that there's some sort of feasible alternative to the jump. for the love of god don't use jumping to just switch between levels of depth, that will never work out well (trust me: i've tried.)

No bottlenecking, leave the track at least 48x48 wide at any given juncture. Blocklanders are notoriously bad drivers. Especially so when said Blocklanders are hurling micromissile barrages and naval mines attached to red balloons at eachother, mario kart style

Leave ample space for item boxes; if at all possible don't just put them in rows. mix it up a bit; put them at the far ends of corners or infront of nonmandatory jumps on a straightaway or something. be creative, that's the entire point of this exercise

Don't just use a super-generic track structure: in other words, NO OVALS SWEET JESUS. but at the same time, don't go totally overboard, if at all possible.

on that point, don't use super-generic themes without good justification; since we're going for a mario kart style feel to this entire grand prix theming is definately going to occur, but don't just randomly crank out settings without having some interesting idea for them. in other words, if your theme is 'underwater', please punch yourself in the gut. if your theme is 'space', please punch yourself repeatedly. if your theme is 'underwater amusement park in space' get building oh my god that would be amazing

actually, if your theme is just flat out 'spaceship speedway' that would be pretty cool too

last but not least, have some music for your track. arbitrary, but sound effects tie together the entire experience. trust me when i say that. doesn't matter where you find it, as long as it's instrumental, a loop, and fits the track. also has to be an .ogg, so it's compatible with blockland's music system

May I add that it also has to be mono.
*FacePalm*:
Well Bushi, my plans were:

• Canyon Track
• Lava Track
• War-Torn city Track
• TRON-like space station Track
• Something similar to Rainbow road, maybe Ion Road or something

So far I've decided to fuse the Canyon and Underground lava track into one.
I also want to use VVVVVV music, ie. Pressure Cooker for the Lava/Canyon track.
Katadeus:
This may be awesome. However, it may fail horribly. We shall see.
