Author Topic: Event Adder.  (Read 2288 times)

If you save the events on a brick you can go into your Blockland folder and find the EventsGUI+ events save folder. It's just text files. You can easily edit them and not break anything. It makes it super fast to create events. In less than 40 minutes Spade created 1000 lines of events... I'd say not bad.
Would I have to reload blockland or just the event GUI for the modified version to show up in the event GUI plus thing?

This is planned for a part of BuildBot v3

You can edit lines of events in a standalone GUI and auto apply them when you hit a brick, either adding onto or overwriting the existing events.
This should be EventBot.

So when do you plan on completing this?
Anywhere betwixt the times of now and any given time in the near or far future.

WOAH I NEVER EXPECTED IT TO BE THAT SOON

This should be EventBot.

EventBot is one of the series mini-bots that make up BuildBot.  It is rumored that EventBot is actually the illegitimate child of BuildBot and BlockBot, but they are both mutant animorphs without constant DNA to do tests, so BlockBot got lucky this time.

this

1.

Make some events to copy/modify/anything.

2.

Press "show" then "save" enter some name and press enter to save it.

3.

Locate your documents/blockland/config/client/eventSaves/ and open the events you just saved.

4.

Do whatever you want to do with the events (i just mindlessly copied here) then IMPORTANT: Remove any empty lines at the end of the text! then remember to SAVE.

5.

Go back to the blockland that you never closed at any part of this thing and press "show" again then click the one you just edited and saved and "load"

6.

Profit!

There are some bugs with it like:

- Emitters/sounds/anything to have NONE at the end will be just blank and you have to set them to NONE unless you want something odd.
- setEventEnabled won't load the correct checkbox values.
- some more i guess

I hope it works for you!

(sorry the images turned a bit too small but you should be able to see something in them)

i.. understand how to do it.
It doesn't really help me though..

I have the event GUI that has append, which can apply events without overriding.
Lilboarder gave it to me a while back, I haven't let go of it yet.
Just need to remember what the name is.

client_something.zip ?

Yes. If this would be an add-on that let's you duplicate event lines, then yes.
