Can anyone give me a port forwarding tutorial?

I know about Badspot's, but when I use his, it never seems to work and my internet stops working, so if anyone would be able to provide one for me. In addition, UPnP doesn't let the majority of people join my server. All I see are connection requests in my console all the time.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I just tested my ports using a tool. It said my TCP was open, but my UDP wasn't. Is this a problem?

I'm not aware of it being a problem.
I'm also 90% sure that udp can't be tested without a program running ???
