If you were in a debate, and retorted with "the last speakers argument is invalid because it was crap and effortless", you would lose the debate because you've simply refused to address their points and instead classified the whole thing as rubbish. This isn't a technique to win arguments, it's the slightly older version of going "LALALALA, I CAN'T HEAR YOU LALALA" when someone is talking to you.
