I think that the Shield Generator should either be called the Health Disperser, or actually be a shield.

Except it's not a health dispenser. It doesn't heal or dispense health. While your teammates are shielded under it, they take reduced damage.

If we're going for specific types of damage, explosive damage ignores shields, similar to explosives against Kaje's armor

They do? Kaje's flamethrower would also go through his own armor, but I still have resistance against it whilst standing in a shield, last I checked.
