The layout is WAY better than before.  The old one was an inconsistent mess.  I don't see why so many people complain when Google comes out with a whole new layout that improves upon the last one each time.  Remember when people whined when the entire right part of the screen was freed of the description nonsense and that was put down to a logical place?  Would you still want it on the right side?  I doubt it.  Also the whole like dislike thing, do you really need 3 stars that you don't use?  Who are the professional web developers here?  Not you.  Besides do you want youtube to look like this?

I had no idea how to get rid of that link to my Google account, nor did I know how to get rid of the Facebook link thing right under it. Hence, getting rid of the whole sidebar with Adblock and calling it an improvement, even if I can't get rid of that grey box.
