But what else are you gonna add?
u know what you should add
my church has this chandelier
pretty thing it is, you should add one.

MrCookie:

it's a pretty cool cathedral. the exterior has a damn nice overall concept and design

although, i think that is a bit over detailed

the interior is very nice, grand and simplistic

although, it may be a bit too open, which reveals A LOT of the tiled floors. (it isn't very pleasing for the eye to look at that repeated pattern, especially when the tiles have contrasting colours) I understand that it's still a WIP though, and i suggest that you fill up all that empty space with not just benches, but maybe rooms and hallways too or stuff like that, just so you don't have too much of the tiles showing.

people will probably go crazy over my "over detailed" comment with some kind of argument such as how cathedrals are supposed to be detailed.

my response to that is that there's too simple, simple, detailed, and over detailed. Cathedrals are certainly detailed, and if you Google search them, you will find some cathedrals that are detailed, and other cathedrals which are over-detailed. I personally think the over-detailed ones look very unappealing. There's just too much detail that it makes it look messy. That kind of stuff is more appealing to craftsmen, who look at the small things and how they were made.

Thanks for your detailed response. It's certainly appreciated.
Concerning the over-done details on the exterior: this kind of architecture (Gothic) is known for alot of details. One prime example is the cathedral in Reims, or the facade of the Nidaros cathedral in Trondheim. Google them up to see what I mean. The point of the details is to create something heavenly on earth, something most people will never ever see again.
The architectural style you're looking for is called romanesque. Those churches are not very detailed.

About the interior: I'm aware of that. The interior is very WIP, however. It's supposed to be open, kind of like the german gothic cathedrals. I'll add more stuff to it, and I'll take a look at the floor again. The floor was mainly done this way to avoid spam. There are infact some cathedrals who have this kind of tiles, but I can't give you any examples right now.
