not sure because having hunger is basically another health bar you have to look over that deteriorates over time i usually stock up on at least 2 big apples and i'd pick up more apples along the way, all avoiding the sticky trap mind you |

You're not allowed to bring things in. You have to hope you get lucky enough to get apple drops. |

--- Quote from: snakeeyes on February 15, 2013, 08:25:44 PM ---They almost removed hunger (it is only there for the last three dungeons), cut down the playable starters (From 20 or so to 5), and nearly removed money/item loss altogether (unless you attack a Kecleon.) --- End quote --- These are things which will likely upset me the most. The hunger being gone sounds like a nice thing, but it did add an additional level of challenge. Knowing that you'd have to keep track of food items in order to make it through, and that seeds would only get you so far, was pretty cool. The playable starters being cut down does upset me. And what also upsets me (although others might not agree), is that this is the first Mystery Dungeon game (released outside of Japan, since they had a wiiware game) where you just choose your starter, rather than recieve one via a questionnaire. I felt much more connected to my Totodile character when I knew it supposedely matched me. <3 And the loss of money/items? I take it you mean if you're defeated in a dungeon? That also sounds really nice, but at the same time, really takes the edge off of the challenge of the game. Which doesn't make it quite as thrilling.. I used to love knowing that I'd have to make it through, just for my money or items sake. And if I failed on a harder dungeon, then I'd lose my stuff, and maybe have to go to an easier dungeon for a bit to scrape some items together. It's all part of that classic Pokemon/RPG style grinding. --- Quote from: snakeeyes on February 16, 2013, 11:12:44 AM --- How about being allowed nothing but yourself and being set at level one with no items? --- End quote --- Was that not the Zero Isle? I think it's Zero Isle West. But eitherway, that was a lot of fun, and challenging too. Think the highest I ever got in it was to dungeon level 30~ Tended to be some loving Lapras using Perish Song that killed me. The bastards. |
