Pokémon VG Megathread

GameFreak has posted a picture of a silhouette with some text on their website
The text reads as follows: "A classic game that's played all over the world will be reborn in a surprising collaboration."
This could coincide with CoroCoro's "biggest scoop of the century", or it may not even be about Pokemon at all. While GameFreak hasn't really made anything other than Pokemon that's "played all over the world", they could just as easily be collaborating with another company's popular IP.

On the latest episode of Pokemon Smash, the hosts were loaned a beta copy of X/Y from Junichi Masuda, and went through a few minutes of the game showing fishing (including Octillery's appearance in the game), surfing (it's still just a generic "shadow Pokemon" that you ride on unfortunately), and an Inkay being found on an island. There should be a video up eventually.
So I'm sitting here playing Yet Another Fire Red Hack, and as I make attempt after attempt to catch a Beldum I can't even begin to imagine what kind of sadistic starfish designed this thing
Lowest catch rate in the game and the only move it ever knows is Take Down
