That depends. If I'm going to use it in a team, I'd like to be sure it has at least one or two perfect IVs so I can breed them. If I'm just filling the Pokédex, I really don't care.

i got a ton of foreign pokemon, including a japanese charmander. about how many times would it take for me to get a shiny charmander, and what could i do with a shiny charizard? show it off or get something really good through trade / bribery or something?

So i caught Yveltal with a Poke Ball, took me 4 Poke Balls and a Quick Ball, what do i do with the Master Ball now?
Also, what's better to have when going against the Pokemon League, a pure Psychic (Meowstick) or pure Electric (Raichu)? My Greninja knows a Psychic move, but that's about it, and i have no Electric types or a Pokemon in my team that knows an Electric type move
