That wasn't what I was asking. Since Gen 6 you could now have a Male with a Hidden Ability breed with the chance of it passing down. I was asking if I bred it with a Female of a different species (and therefore a different Hidden Ability entirely) could the offspring have the Female's Hidden Ability.

Better example:

Lets say I want a Greninja with Protean. I have a Poliwag that is Male with Swift Swim, it's Hidden Ability. I also have a Female Froakie with it's regular ability. If I bred the two, is there a chance I could get a Froakie with Protean rather than Torrent?

Edit: Nevermind, managed to snag one off the GTS.

So if chain breeding works the way I think it does could I in theory pass storm throw from throh to a pangoro to bidoof to clauncher to binacle?
the reason being a sniper pokemon with an always crit move like storm throw can pump out roughly 135 damage if my calculations are correct without the help of items
