something like a choice scarf of focus band/sash is a good start
Also items that boost the power of various move types (water, fire, special, physical, punching etc)
Or items that replenish hp, such as khorde's Dodongo's leftovers.
Or even a mega stone as a last resort to boost all stats by base 20 or so.
