Yes you loving can. I've been burned and paralyzed at the same time multiple times. I have no idea what game you're playing but it sure as hell isn't Pokemon XY.

Unless they changed it for gen 6 you are incorrect. Only one status is possible at a time. Pseudo statuses such as confusion and attraction don't count since they don't appear on the UI and go away if you switch pokemon.
