Author Topic: [RELEASE] Wire Effect - Now with download link!  (Read 5610 times)

tl;dr the last 3 pages, do the wires save along with the bricks?

But isn't 30 FPS normal for a game?
Or am I thinking of games like Half Life 2?
Blockland (on an average computer) gets around 160 FPS. Tammy tested some of them for FPS, he got 130 fps with a small ammount of them. A loss in 30 fps to me sounds like a lot.

No.

No.

I have a way to store extra information in save files, so I'll clean that up and post it here later today.
EDIT: Nevermind. The concept revolves around storing it in the +-EVENT lines and intercepting loads.

Now we need someone to copy the buildable vehicles script Truce had used.

buildable vehicles
buildable vehicles
WHERE TO GET

And btw, could you work on it so that you can be able to put this into events? And have it be able to save?

I remember Truce posting about that, as I recall it spawned a bunch of static shapes on a chassis based on where you placed bricks then used a command to confirm or weld the bricks you put on it. Then it would very choppily reposition them as the vehicle moved.

Why do they keep flashing.

Why must Truce tease us so?

Just read that topic straight through.

We must beg Truce now.

Sorry for bumping an old topic, but this seems like it could have a ton of potential. The only thing in the way seems to be that wires don't save along with the build. And I don't want the idea to die for something small as that. Couldn't the script be redone so the wires save in such a way that the game thinks they're emmiters and saves them like that? Or a projectile that the script fires whenever the build is loaded, or something of the sort?

Looks great but without the saving it would be disastrous for larger builds utilizing this

... turn it into an event, I guess?
