Burning paper?
The only problem with that is my science teacher already demonstrated burning as a chemical change and I'm assuming someone is going to do that too.

I dont know if this is a chemical reaction, but one of those swirly HE light bulbs have mercury in them and (From here on Im going off of memory, might be wrong) the electricity causes the electrons to jump energy levels, then jump back down, and then they emit light.

Another example are those tube lamps in school so youd have an example right above you

nice.

Light a match if your teacher allows it.  Or just bring in a match and tell them that if they were to strike it and successfully light it, it would produce a flame which chemically changes the matter.

Or bring in a hard boiled egg.  The proteins inside are cooked and chemically altered into a safe-to-eat solid.
Bing Crosby can light a match with his fingernail

probably one of those matches with phosphorous and the other stuff that is on the box on the tip.
