Be a man and wrestle in your regular weight class.

Stick your finger down your throat.

South Beach diet and Atkins are straight up bullstuff, you know that right

they make sure you eat a certain amount of calories

it doesn't matter what food you eat
how many calories you eat is what matters

900-1200 calories a day (or less if you find you simply aren't hungry for it; the less, the faster), lots of water, any food at all. Drink water when you think you're hungry, it will keep you hydrated, reduce your appetite, and help you determine how hungry you really are.

On this "plan" I lost twelve pounds in a week and a half, through Thanksgiving weekend no less.

You're also safe fasting for a day or two at a time.

And, even though there is an extremely small chance of developing a vitamin deficiency depending on what you exclude, consider taking a daily vitamin.

Balanced dieting is important, but only for the long-term. The huge majority of people can go on a "bizarre", unbalanced diet to lose weight for weeks or months at a time with no ill effect.

But do be careful, you're already close to being underweight.

But a lot of the food I eat I have no idea how many calories are in them

You should be able to find approximate amounts by looking up what type of food it is. But, really, you don't need to add up an exact amount.

The more on your plate, the more likely you'll eat more than you really need to. Take very small portions, and you might be surprised by how hungry you're not. And again, whenever you feel hungry, drink water. You'll find you're less inclined to eat as much as you might otherwise.

Keep in mind, of course, that this advice is geared toward overweights. The bottom end of your ideal weight is about 118. There is no benefit to being underweight. A few pounds is not a great issue, but don't go too far.
