It was still pretty damn big.

I never said you couldn't have an army of over 2 million. If you want to argue that, talk to Nexus.
China's wall is huge. Period.
Yes, I do have plenty of workers. Barbarians don't tend to like you, and those that resist labor can always be forced.

A bombardment of the mines by catapult and ther such siege weapons begins. Archers supplement the siege machines fire.

Avalonian workers redirect a river so that it passes near to the earthen embankments. Using several constructions of a very rough combination between a water wheel and a conveyor belt, and a few archemedes screws that have been quickly fassioned out of copper, the river's waters are being forced into the ring of earth. these machines are being supplemented by lines of men passing buckets uphill, along with cranes, and other such aparatus.

I'm flooding the mines!!! Bloodless battle, only air bubbles.

You may note that I want to extreme cate not to use anything before the year we're at, 0. I even considered not using the archemedes screw, since it was after 500 BC. If that's a problem with the moderator, the screws can magically mysteriously vanish from existence. Won't halt me for long.

Whilst Plethora does his plan, I intend to GTFO.
Pleasure doing war with you, Caprica.  I don't want my men to die.
Toodles!

I'm sure you haven't forgotten that there are still soldiers OUTSIDE of the mines? (Still pretty smart IMO, reminds me of flooding underground fortresses with magma.
The elite Slainte horsemen ride to the engineering post and kill (almost) every single worker there, and get out with many (but not all) casualties from the guards there.

No problem.

If it's that early, bronze should be the main metal and iron, a specialty.

The gates open up and battle horns sound, the noise is so loud the ground shakes.

That the case, I send extra troops to protect the embankment from outward assault. I'm not going to give a number, or any information. Suffice to say, there is no help for the mines. No reinforcements will reach them.

Avalonia sends out spies, subversives, saboteurs, et cetera to raise the entire barbarian population of the world against Caprica. They will give food and fire to any Avalonian soon, and betray and sabotage any Caprican movement. You can destroy Avalonia itself, maybe; but you will never find the ringleaders of Avalonian resistance. Avalonia's going for an "I am Spartacus" effect.

More of the mysterious objects enter into Avalonia's borders, going to an unknown location. Over a hundred are in Avalonia at the moment, and the shipments continue.

It'll take more than that Frontrox. Not even your whole army can stop my efforts now. You open the gates and the water starts to come in. Another river is being diverted to quicken the flooding.

All the stone/bronze/iron age stuff is crap. I could explain it, but now's not the time.

A single flaming arrow is spotted in the sky

The water is flowing down into the mine, it isn't hurting anyone yet.

Slainte is pretty much a organized collection of barbarians, I'm sure we and the rest of the barbarians can find some common ground.

Ten thousand match it from Avalonia, aided with flaming catapult ammunition, and flaming logs dropped from the embankment.

Mind putting this on hold? I have to sleep. Honor is worth its weight in gold. Remember it.

Wait....Nobody is out of the walls yet...your logs would just hit the walls..I'm okay with that.

Aemilius warmly invites Erinaum to join the Eastern Consortium.
Please respond ASAP.
Erinaum will be happy to join, and will accept some trade from other countries.

Erinaum has become almost completely self-sufficient but has reached it's peak in production and population at this time.  Its people are experiencing malnutrition as introduction of new fruits and vegetables from the southern hemisphere, since the volcanic disaster years ago had long since wiped out Erinaum's fruit trees.  Imports of seeds for new plants and new plant products are encouraged.

King ¡œvón I is laid to rest.  The country is under a 72-day period of mourning.  Prince ¡œvón II assumes the throne.

Population levels off at around 1,531,031.

If caprica would like assistance then just ask.

Keep em out of the west, that's all i ask.
