Forced 3rd person in vehicles?

Is there any way to force a player to be in 3rd person when in a vehicle, regardless of the playertype?

phydeoux:

Place a joint outside of the vehicle, as you would to create a mount point or tire, but name it eye. When the player tries to use 1st person it will force their camera to be at that spot.

Or when the player gets into the vehicle, switch it to a 3rd person only playertype.
