feeling sympathy for someone you haven't even seen, who has died; is pretty odd. But it seems to happen to most, if not everyone, based off of their perspective on someone dying. Ambivalence, more-or-less.
it's also odd how people seem to feel sympathy for one who has died individually, but feel nothing to a million dying. I guess that's what the figure of speech; "One death is a tragedy, a million is a statistic," is supposed to relate to.
