You could try to recover the files with a file-recovery program Recuva is a freeware program that has worked for me in a similar case. Let's hope it works for you. Good luck!

There's a free online file recovery tool called Recuva (something like that) made by Piriform, you should check it out.

If you have Windows 7 your files were probably backed up by System Restore.

Doesn't System Restore back up the main System files, including Registry, installed stuff and alikes?

In Windows 7 it backs up your personal files too.

Why create a script to e-mail them to you while, if you care, you can backup online? Or on the same subject, e-mail the attachment to youself?

Offence intended; if you build something for 10 hours without even thinking about the possibilities of crashes, and saving at least 1 time each 3 hours, if not 1 time each 30 minutes like I do lately, you must be seriously handicapped.
