Author Topic: Ghost Recon Weapons Pack - (AK74 and M82 Pics!)  (Read 20357 times)

I love your models, buuuuuuut; they are way to long and thin!

These models would be GREAT if you reduced the polycount a little and maybe made them thicker by just a bit.

They look thin because of the angle the picture was taken in.
I dont see how they could be "too long"

The poly count is fine. I dont lag a bit, and i have a stuffty PC too. If i can run them, anyone else can run them too unless they have a pc worse then mine.

Allow me.
It would take a while, but I could implement an ammo system.
Are you gonna need the scripts or are you going to re-do them yourself?

Actually, I'm just going to edit and rename some stuff from the Tier tac set.
I might add a few things in and modify some stuff, but that's about it.

the aimpoint sights or whatever they are on the AR-15 type guns look disgusting

Stop making these garbage 3k polygon models that look ripped from CSS.

stuff these are really loving high poly. Good designs, but they are way over-modeled. And some of them look like flat boxes.

I have no clue what the sights even are in GR, so I just modeled them to the best of what they looked like as a test. They are not permanent.

Oh, ok. So I should lock the topic and remove all contents from OP and give up on making my pack?

Yeah, no.

The only one that should stop making "garbade models that look ripped from css" should be you. Your models look like stuffty low poly T+T copies, I cant even imagine why people would want them. Actually learn to model correctly and maybe people will download your pile of stuff guns. You always use stuffty loving white hands that nobody likes. Please fail somewhere else you loving abomination.

Maybe people like them because they actually don't look bad?

These guns literally look like they were ripped out from CSS. The problem isn't the lag, it's that it just doesn't look good overall. Also, what do you mean by saying his models look like they're ripped from CSS, then rant about how they look too low poly? Your argument makes no sense whatsoever and neither does your modelling style. And also, a stuffload of people like his modelling style, try looking at the number of downloads on RTB, and ask commenters who love how the guns work. Generic arguments get you nowhere.

You're good at modelling. For Blockland? No. Try making models for some of the CS games, I'm sure they'd fit.

No that wasn't sarcasm.

Either way im still continuing the pack. If you guys dont like it, fine. Just dont download it and make stupid comments (directed towards extrude)

I'm going to say basically what extrude said.

In my opinion, these models would not "fit" in Blockland. The outside of every weapon is beveled and the barrels all have 10-14 slices. These would be great in an older game, say from 2002, that can't handle too many poly's. The models themselves are great and perfect, but are not fit for Blockland. Were a blockhead holding these, it would look very out of place, similar to how a T+T gun would look if it were in Team Fortress 2.

I agree with Shell and ShadowsfeaR (minus the harsh words).

Then what should they look like?

Then what should they look like?
They should look like this:

or this

or this

or

and

Those are some examples.
