How would I edit the RC Car?

I want to make some races including an RC Car that doesn't explode on impact. I was told it should be simple edits to the script, but can I have a bit of help on it? I guess this could also be a topic on helping me edit some other add-ons that I use very often, such as changing the simple projectile of it.
