Fake/Real? "black-aperture", possible Half-Life 3/Portal 3 - Plot merging?

Regulith:
Is it possible to even have a site redirect without having control over the site it redirects to? In other words, is it possible that someone other than Valve made "www.half-life3.com" redirect to "orange.half-life2.com"? I would assume so but I have almost zero experience with webpages.

... you're doing it right now.
Mulch:
Also apparently there was a page for Half Life 3 achievements on steam that was taken down shortly after. And all this happened in the span of about a month.

Dropshock:
Half-life3.com is registered and owned by Valve Softworks.
http://www.whois.net/whois/half-life3.com

HOWEVER!

black-aperture.com was registered privately with no information given with it.
http://whois.domaintools.com/black-aperture.com
But! It was registered with the same address as the whois info on half-life3.com

Then, there's atramental-plateau.com.
http://whois.domaintools.com/atramental-plateau.com
This was registered and is hosted by a dreamhost user. It is more than likely fake.
