Jay the Cartoonist:
ooh baby, just threw together a texture pack for myself and I love it

Draith suggested I get a texture pack cause of white lines on bricks, and at first I thought "But I hate how the fixed packs make everything on he sides darker, causing print textures to be lighter."
So then I made a texture pack where I removed the side textures and left everything be.  It looked really good!  But in dark maps, the top studs, ramps and all those still glew in the dark.  So I took Manty's textures and then replaced the side texture with my own.   I think it looks amazing :)

Anyone made a Texture Pack mod yet?  I'd like to not have to replace my textures every time i start blockland to bipass the launcher.
Pame89:
HOLY. That looks amazing.

Here's some pics in the light so you can see how smooth everything is.  I'd imagine some people wouldn't like this cause you can't get any brick detail, but I love the way it simplifies things.  I probably wouldn't use it in detailed builds, but most of my builds are meant to be simple like this anyways.

Clone v.117:
Sounds like fun on the bun.

Arena/Gladiator System
dUMBELLS is currently working on a custom Arena mod for the server that players can play as a minigame.  Arena works much like Trigun's, players challenge each other to a duel and they are taken to an area to fight each other.  We are trying to expand on this area and turn it to a full mini-minigame system, where players can do a number of things other than just duel
- dUMBELLS wants currency that you win from Duels to upgrade your armor and weapons.  I agree with this idea, but upgrades on your armor and weapons shall not transfer into the main adventure mode, it is only relevant in duels.  Currency will also not be usable in the adventure mode, there will not be a shop where you buy your way through the game.
- I came up with the idea of wagers.  Original currency reward idea was that there is a preset currency award and the winner took that reward.  Wagers work like this:  Two players who agree to fight also offer a wager.  Each player offers up an amount of currency from their own collection and the winner takes all.  They could even offer up everything they own!
- I also came up with the idea of bets.  When two players set up a duel, it is announced to the entire server and other people can choose to spectate the match.  Before the match starts, spectators can place a bet on who they think will win.
- I think currency should be usable in other minigames, possibly some kinda gambling game in the tavern or something like that.
