I had the same problem with Spore for two years before I could play it stably. In the end it didn't work for me until I got a new computer, I hope it doesn't turn out like that for you. Anyway, best of luck in getting it to work. I went through the same thing but it ended up being all the more fun after trying for so long to get it to work. |

ACTUALLY! OP, try this. http://www.ur-ban.com/blog/2008/09/07/mac-spore-startup-freeze/ google helps. it's a file that for some reason (no loving clue why) crashes it. good luck. |

If you have OS Lion, you should know that it doesn't support PowerPC. If this game runs on it, then you're screwed. |

I got it working. Google ftw. I wasn't supposed to download all the updates at the same time. |

Updates break everything. I'm still on the version you get when you install the game for the first time because of weird graphical glitches and freezes. |
