Fable 3 Gifting?

Hello, I just got Fable 3 and I heard you can gift other players gold and items. Do you need a Gold membership to do this? If this isn't to selfish, can someone gift me some gold? I am poor and I can't seem to make money. I would really appreciate it.

Just find a profession and do it.

Play the game to get higher grades of the profession.

Chain up the multiplier and get 1000 a shortsword and such.
