Nothing new yet but bump again...


Bump. I'm going out of town this weekend, but I think probably by Tuesday there will be a new video up.

So in my previous post, I said that I would be putting a new video up on Tuesday. That was in January. I felt that there weren't enough features at that point, so I delayed making a video. I'm working on a new video, but I just spent the last half hour trying to record it. I get really nervous when I record it for some reason, so I make a lot of mistakes and have to redo parts. Its 1am, so I'm going to wait until tomorrow to finish making the video. I'm certain that I will have finished and uploaded the new video by then.

Also I know I've said this a lot, but no one seems to listen. PLEASE ask questions about the game, about development, make suggestions, or anything related to the game. I can tell some things about the lore, some of the weapons that will be in the game, etc. This topic is really slow and I don't know why, but I'd like to change that. I thought it would pick up after posting the first video but it hasn't.

I would assume that your going to add the plasma arm to both hands, since only having it on one arm would greatly overpower the arm making one side very weak and the other very strong, thus it's unbalanced.

Its not a plasma arm. Its a gun. I just haven't realigned it so he holds it correctly.

Yeah I think I finished adding sharps for the plasma cannon, but not for the railgun. I never put them on the website for some reason though.


But I don't think I'm going to be using these models in the game anyway. My idea for the game has changed a bit and I don't think these guns really fit in any more.

Seeing the actor's buttocks breathing gave me a very strange boner.

Looks good, nice to see some people taking their knowledge to higher levels.
If I wasn't such a lazy bastard and had more experience in engines/SDKs, I'd offer to help with some coding (preferably in sepples c:) or game design.


How is the game going to be? Open-world with an alignment system would seem to fit, but I'm sure you'd rather not 'inspire' some portions of your game by other games.
Pardon if this was mentioned somewhere in the OP. I didn't really read the story either 'cause it seemed like more of a description of the first level, not actually the story.

Will there be destructible objects? Nothing too major, but at least Half-Life level.

By an alignment system do you mean something like Fallout 3's karma system?
If so, maybe. It will be an open world, but I don't think there will be a karma system.

Yeah. Explodable objects like HL2's barrels probably. I'm not sure about anything else. I saw a cool tutorial on youtube about making destructible walls so there might be some of those.
