A few bronies have been bad about keeping pony related stuff in their thread.

Hey... you didn't get the point.
1) It's your choice to go to brony thread or sites that allow brony threads.
2) You're not forced to go online instead of other things.
3) Fads die eventually not instantly.

The show started in October of last year, I don't recall seeing anything about it here until February of this year (doesn't mean it never occurred, but I'm unaware of it). It really didn't start gaining its momentum around here until March.

It works on both sides. It's your choice to stay here and be flamed and otherwise despised by some of the population. You're not forced to come here and continue arguing with them.
If you dislike how you are treated by some, you should leave. Their opinions, no matter how unintelligent or unfair they may seem to you, will not be swayed. Typically, you only give them more reason to continue with said opinion.
There are other communities out there that will love you to death for being a brony. Why settle for one that, assumingly by majority, hates you/your kind?

True, I would leave, but I choose not to. I can take that blame, but there are others who can't understand that.
