Totally awesome!

Looking forward to this great rpg!

Please don't let this end up like the Island Survival RPG mod, where it was released immediately and a bunch of people hosted it, but no one really played it. Just keep it private and then when it dies you release it. Mods like this seem better when hosted by the person who made it, since they know exactly what they're doing.

im probly never gonna release this. making an add-on for your server is one thing but making one for everyone is another. and i dont want a bunch of noobly admins givin themselves all the powers either.

edit: Crew system seems to be about done besides any cool suggestions people want. I can tell it's going to have to be tested alot. There are alot of check to make sure people don't bug it up, but bugging it up is what beta testing it for! After touching things up and some minor testing, I am going to move on to making more core parts. (lets see what my list of things to make sure i do says...) Treasure, basic rowboat summoning, and brick damage.

reminder for myself: I am going to make treasure tier based on the outside, then add classes within each tier. Tiers basically tell you what the value of the treasure it. Less valuable treasure is generated in larger quantities than rare treasure. Common treasure should generate in chunks of 20-30 (remember the terrain map is big and the boundaries set will be pretty far away) every 30 minutes, with a cap on treasure limit. Rare treasure can feature server wide event messages and clues.

also: helpful tip for when the game starts. Making your home base far away can be both good and bad. If you construct a spawn zone (expensive, considering if it should be added), returning home upon death shouldn't be a problem. But forming a crew while far away can be difficult. You need to be within range of someone to invite them to join, so getting your friends to your island when they are still new could be a problem, you can't swim forever!

If you are a pirate, you should first establish a crew before heading out and fighting. Laying low until while getting stronger fighting weak enemies is a good way to avoid confrontation with the big name pirates who control the sea. Avoid targeting large marine warships, towns, or other government establishments until you can protect yourself. Remember that the marines can be just as strong, if not stronger, than pirates. Not just that, but they are all on one side while pirates are divided into mostly opposing crews.

Dying and losing what you have isn't fun. Try not to die unless you are fully prepared to go down.

A One Piece themed Pirate RPG?

Oh forget yes.

im probly never gonna release this. making an add-on for your server is one thing but making one for everyone is another. and i dont want a bunch of noobly admins givin themselves all the powers either.

Exactly, an Add-On like this is more special and fun when it's exclusive and done right with the right builds.

Shovel item and digging up treasure- done.

edit: Info about treasure basics. Hit the ground with your shovel tool, and if you strike "treasure", it will be dug up! You can only dig once every 10 seconds, so don't try rapid hitting the ground! Treasures will be generated in tiers. Higher level tiers don't seed as much as lower level ones. Tiers are basically value of treasure inside, self explanatory. Treasure can have multiple types of items inside, and more than one of each item. Lowest tier treasures are basically dud treasures full of mainly useless crap like clothing or weak armor, but some of it (cutlass, gold bars) can help you out if you are new.

another tip: Going treasure hunting is much easier with a crew. The shovels can only dig once every 10 seconds, so splitting up when you are near a treasure source is the best way to find it. You only have to be within a close radius to dig up the treasure, not exactly over it. Treasure hunting items will be included, and higher value ones will give you a more exact location. The shovel can also double as a weapon if needed, or you are trying to fit a theme (miner pirates!). Since pirates only start out with a shovel and a basic treasure device (called a Cachepose), finding treasure is very important.

Reading through this sounds like a lot of fun. Can't wait to see the end-result of everything when its all done.

was thinking about pets like MONKEYS which can fight with you. if all goes well, testing server will open up tomorrow. expect glitches and unrefined gameplay.

I would like to Beta Test this defentally. Please take this as my formal asking.

um ok? server will be up and open to all tomorrow or next day.

I dont know were I was going with this.
I didnt know if you wre handing out certian parts or not.

GUI will be forced to download from the start. you will notice it feels similar to DRPG navigation wise (im a total noob at guis but im learning). a new client feature will be optional downloads. people won't have to download the client update if all it includes are icons, but will get a message upon joining that a new version is out. that way people don't have to download a new client everyday. people will still have to download a client when a key feature relying on the GUI is added, or major bugs have been fixed.

Oh, now I see, makes a little more sence.
Edit: Do you think you could hand out copys for certain people?

That should answer your question.

That should answer your question.
I understand that, but certain players could get it that he trust so there would be diversity in servers.
