The Corporation:

--- Quote from: Plasticman2 on January 02, 2012, 04:56:37 PM ---No it doesn't. It doesn't because nothing else is smooth shaded like your bullet is; with separate smoothing groups- because i don't know how to do that. The only thing that is smooth shaded are the red scope pieces but that's because they are separate from the rest of the sniper, and I just click the "smooth" option for them. When I try "smooth" on the bullet, it smooths the whole thing, and the only way to get it to look like yours is if I double up the edge loops to form a crease. Other then that nothing is smooth shaded to look like your bullet. It also may be an artifact of the render, because the render did make it look really glowing yellow, among the dull and darker colors. What kind of proof do you want?

Keep in mind that I made these almost a year ago, so ive improved quite a bit. But these models still look decent. (These were made for Blockland)

If you want to make smooth groups, select the faces, then simply press y.
If you do it right, it looks like curved flatshade.

Will try thanks.

-Edit: Tried and worked perfectly!

I updated the picture in the OP with the new bullet! I also toned down the diffuse reflection so that its not so bright.

soba:

brother you old, I remember seeing those models YEARS ago

alright, I believe you

EDIT: it seems I didn't save...

what I did to make it all nice and smooth like that is select the faces I want to smooth, regroup them, smooth that new group, and rejoin them, it works like a charm

just don't join the overlapping vertices or remove doubles :P

and yes, you have improved, by a LOT

Plasticman2:

I thank everyone for criticism, but can anyone actually HELP? I need the expertise of someone else that knows how to fix the problems I'm having :O

Plasticman2:
