Keys are worthless, they can be regenerated freely (although painfully) in case of breach.

A breach of security won't be a bad thing (if it doesn't happen often) as long as original data can be restored.

The first few digits are not. Those change with ID.

First 5 digits aren't random, they are easily predictable and sequential.

The next 12 digits make it difficult. These are randomly generated, and each character has 32 possible combinations. (36 is the amount of letters in the alphabet and 0-9, however 0, O, 1, I are excluded because they are similar)

There are 32^12 possible combinations.

1,152,921,504,606,846,976 (1.152 quintillion combinations) for each BLID. This number is multiplied by 33,554,432 if no research is done about the first 5 characters in the key.
