Can someone help me figure out how to replace these files without the letters getting all misaligned and ugly?

use adobe illustrator I guess, edit each one separately
do it in layers

The background music is annoyingly eerie. I switched two of them for the Pokemon Master Quest (Believe in Mr) Theme Song, but I didn't think it was working. Then as I was playing, it did, but I was too far into the story - my first thought was "Neighbors?"

I have no idea where the exact area for each letter is defined other than guessing as I place the fonts, which causes them to be misaligned and ugly. I need a way of figuring that out...
