You could only vote once and there has to be at least 2 candidates. Also make it so it reoccurs after a set in-game time, like maybe a month to a year. You wouldn't have to vote, but to win mayor-ship you have to have at least two-thirds of the vote count. the polling should last a day or two per city that needs a mayor. I think I'm also going to designate a few starter players. We're going to need a Police Officer, a Factory Owner, and a Grocer to get the economy started. I'll mark you down as an officer and fabricate you an account, Knil. --- End quote --- I can has grocer back? |

Probably will go like this. 1. There will be an additional GUI for voting. It will list all-in game clients, and allow you to vote manually through a BL_ID. 2. There may be a some sort of system you can buy into to campaign. The top 3 campaigners (and the incumbent Mayor) will get their names highlighted and floated to the top of the list. I might even do something like RTB does to show static impressions of their avatar. 3. People vote for their mayor. Voting will probably happen over an in-game week so lots of people can get to vote. 4. Winner becomes Mayor. If the new mayor is not the existing mayor, the existing mayor will be demoted to Bureaucrat if he meets the requirements, or Unemployed if he does not. Mayors will be able to lose their position one of two ways: 1. Being arrested. 2. Being killed. Assassination of a Political Figure will be the biggest crime in the game. I will likely raise the roof on wanted levels just so that assassination will give you 12 stars, as opposed to 6. The clue dropped by the assassin will take one in-game month to disappear and will always be visible. The punishment for a 12-star arrest will be -1 ticks in prison. You will not be able to get out, unless you are busted out (giving you 12 stars again) or you reset your account. --- Quote from: Scout31 on January 12, 2012, 02:58:12 PM ---I can has grocer back? --- End quote --- Sure. |
