Yeah definitely wouldn't want someone to repeatedly assassinate the mayors.

But you might have to restrict the mayor's gun somewhat, so they dont become an untouchable super cop who is chasing down every criminal. I mean yeah i think a mayor literally fighting crime is pretty kickass, but then the police force would have nothing to do.

The weapon system on CityRPG is complex. There is damage fall-off. I can give the Mayor an effective range of less than 24 studs.

A Desert Eagle type handcannon that fires once every half second with a 6-round magazine with a relatively slow reload time will keep the Mayor from being Batman while still enabling him to defend himself at point-blank, even if caught unawares.

The exception will be Sniper Rifles. I'll jack the price up on those dramatically, but they'll still be able to do headshots on the mayor and have an effective range of something like 10,000 studs with no accuracy loss.

That's good. Don't want just any newbie able to buy a high powered rifle.

I can already feel my addiction to this growing, and we haven't even played yet, lol.

Anyhow, does this come with day and night? That'd be pretty cool.

Day and Night are in the mod, but all the time I hosted it caused some people to crash over and over again, especially those with bad latency. I'm using virtually the same code as the Day and Night Slate map that's out there, but there's something that just disagrees with certain people. This will be the first and last major obstacle for CityRPG to be hosted full time.
