ew... depends...
are you thinking more of rewarding donations with flair, or with advantages?
Pay a dollar, get a donate-only hat? or pay a dollar get in-game money? or pay a dollar get donate-only bazooka?

Considering how strong the demand is for customization, I could allow myself to go outside my comfort zone and unlock some accessories and junk. If people would be willing to pay money to get a customization version of the existing avatar GUI, it would be worth the time to build it.

Then there could be some delimiting of existing features. The time between changing a personality trait could be reduced from an in-game week to 3 days. Add a 25% bonus to "Campaign" points per level.

The biggest thing I can imagine myself giving out in exchange for cash is pardons and record clearings. If you want to pay $5 to get your life sentence removed, yeah, sure, why not.

yes

if you want to monitize it do it on something that doesn't uneven the playing field

I'm ok with the paying money to remove life-sentence etc. It both adds reason to not kill the mayor (if you dont want to spend money dont kill him) but it gives them a second chance they otherwise wouldn't have.

Why do you simultaneously stuff in my face and contribute to the discussion in this thread?

I'm perfectly fine with that kind of doublethink as long as one personality exists here, and the other anywhere else. Do not bring drama into this thread.

Also, read the post directly above yours as per ideas.

That's the idea. A person's character does have value to them in terms of time spent developing it. Killing the mayor destroys what was supposed to be a whole day of fun and privileges for another player.

On one hand, not letting someone play as the mayor is a really richard move.
One the other, virtually deleting someone's character is a really richard move.

It's a rock and a hard place. I want things to be fair, but for things to be fun there needs to be a lot of risk involved.
