Author Topic: I get glimpses of the future.  (Read 2537 times)

Mine goes one step further and sometimes happens when I'm awake, and then I actually have some control as to when I see.

However, that is super-rare, but I do get a lot of visions of the future while I'm asleep, which usually leads to nothing surprising me.

This has happened to me too when I am day-dreaming (It has never happened while I am asleep). However when this happens, it only occurs for a split second and its nothing important or interesting when I when I encounter the moment.

isn't this actually done by having deja vu AFTER something real happens and your memory loving it self in the arse and dreaming something in the past or something?

Edit: Damn it I just saw the second page  :cookieMonster:

Final destination much?

Exactly what happens to me.  This once happened to me once where I was dreaming I was in class, at 7th period and I felt a light throb in my head.  3 years later, this was happening.  I recognized the dream si far in reality, remembered the teacher's words and anticipated a throb.  Instead, I felt a sharp pain in my head and blankly stared at the walls for the next 3 minutes.  This happens to me a lot.  Don't get me going on my weirdest dream though.

Happens to me. I dream of a small glimpse, but I don't KNOW it will happen. Plus, its jumbled into some stupid dream, so I just discard the thought. Then it happens weeks later.

DEJA VU

somewhere california city place that's like the name of a striptease we passed by it lol

I used to get these when I was younger, as did my older brother when he was younger, my oldest younger sister is starting to get them now as well.
All I can describe them as are premonitions, most kids seem to get them once they reach a certain age and they stop after they reach a certain age, it's weird

i have this too but it doesn't always happens to me or how it went in the dream

DEDLY PREMONITON

You're not getting 'glimpses of the future', your mind doesn't remember what the forget happened when you had a dream and just uses any memory you have as a placeholder.

Which is why sometimes you feel like you have a vision of an event happening "as it happens, but before it happened", or when out of nowhere you start to think certain memories were of a dream.

>Memory.
>Of something that happens the next day.

Yup

>Memory.
>Of something that happens the next day.

Yup

You don't understand. Say an event triggers your memory to recollect a dream that has something similar to the event, but your brain itself doesn't remember it. Your memory of the event then is used as a placeholder for the dream your brain can't remember.

Or something like that.
