TITLE TEXT HERE No, this is not another clusterforget like the original argos RP. Stop talking about that. Since then I've learned a lot about roleplays, the most important being that if you have jackasses running around claiming t be super duper secret assassins nothing is going to work.
wats a roleplayA roleplay is essentially playing pretend for big kids. In this context, we're in space.
What happens in these roleplays?Plots arcs are fulfilled, and people interact with one another. There are two kind of plot arcs, major and personal. Major plot arcs are started by the ops officer or the captain. Nobody else. Personal plot arcs are how everyone is affected or reacts to major plot arcs.
The roleplays themselves usually start with me assigning one of two plot specific roles; Operations officer and Captain. Unless I know there are two capable and imaginative storytellers/roleplayers in the server, I will always fill one of these roles. The operations officer controls radar and communications. They're responsible for giving missions, and relaying orders from command. In short, they're the dungeonmaster. The captain organizes his crew as he sees fit and reacts to these orders and completes these missions using the crew as he sees fit. Sometimes, one of the greater overarching plots may involve a mutiny, or assassination of the captain.
What are the rules?- Local chat will usually be on. Radio mod allows you to communicate over greater distances. Most of my RPs will use dephurites/jincux's radio mod. To tune into the radio channel, type "/radio channel 1". To send a radio message, type a "#" in front of the message. Ex. #hey guys the reactor is on fire
- Unless you're an admin, death = ban until current roleplay is over. This isn't because I don't like anyone in particular, it's to prevent the "HURR U MISSED" bullstuff when you're one foot away from someone and you shoot them ten times in the face.
- No stupidity. If you randomly run into the bridge and scream that the martians are invading you'll be shot on sight.
- ONLY THE CAPTAIN OR THE OPERATIONS OFFICER MAY INTRODUCE MAJOR PLOT ARCS. You may not magically become an alien because it is a disease you have, unless you acquired said disease on a mission given by the Ops officer or Captain.
- Listen to your captain. Disobeying orders is mutiny and treason, and unless you have enough crew on your side to start a mutiny, you will likely die.
- Please please PLEASE do not ask for admin. Anyone who is deserving of admin knows how to get it and if you have to ask you probably aren't one of them.
Well that's enough of that. Now for the fleet list. I'm posting this for pretty much everyone's benefit, but this is mostly to benefit the captains so they know what their ships are capable of. All jobs are listed in the RECOMMENDED order in which they should be assigned.
LuciferCorvette-sized vessel, fast and lightly armed.
- Weapons: 8x Forward firing torcreep tubes, 2x double barreled plasma cannons, 2x LRM launchers, 4x rear firing torcreep tubes.

- Special notes: All engine repairs require the engineer to go EVA to repair, as there is no dedicated engien room.
Lily- Weapons: 2x forward firing torcreep tubes, 4x double barrel plasma cannon turrets, 2x forward firing pulse cannons, 6x point defense guns, and an inoperative main cannon.
- Major systems:ops, helmsman, engineering, gunnery, medical, security, cargo, security, fighter pilot
- Special notes: The back and front sections of the ship can be separated by securing the jeffries tube on deck 2 and closing the bulkheads on deck 1.
Argos- Weapons: forget me not even I remember
- Major systems:ops, helmsman, engineering, gunnery, security, medical, atomsphere control, chef
- special notes: Good all around ship. Has flak dispersal launchers to deal with enemy fighters and boarders up close.
Danube- Weapons: 3x triple barrel maelstrom cannon trurets, 1x forward firing Wave motion gun, 21 quad AA gun turrets, 1x rear firing laser turret.
- Major systems: ops, helm, engineering, gunnery, wave motion gun crew, medical, chef, security, fighter pilots
- Special notes: The wave motion gun is the most powerful space weapon known to blockkind. This power is offset by the time it takes to charge and that it may only fire 8 times before needing to return to base for a reload.

Q: Com, I joined the server but nobody is talking.
A: Local chat is on. I will usually try to turn off local chat for a split second to say "hi, local chat is on" and then reactivate it.
Q: Com, I spawned and there's an RP in progress. How do I become a part of it?
A: I will either tele you aboard and tell you to report to the captain, or you will wait until we do a boarding op. During the boarding op you will be discovered by the boarding party and be escorted back to the ship for assignment.
Q: Com, the captain is an idiot and is doing a bad job!
A: Lead a mutiny.
Q: I have a really cool idea for a plot arc! How do I let the host know?
A: You can notify me or any of my admins over steam or IRC, and if it's good enough, you may be selected as the next ops officer.
