What would be the function that sets a delay of a raycast judging by distance?

You can't set the velocity of a projectile after it's created. However, you can modify initialVelocity while creating it.

You could have mentioned that.

The formula for projectile motion is

Distance = (Initial Velocity)*(Time) + (1/2)(Acceleration)(Time)2
