StoneQuest is NOT based around repeatedly mining or by hitting and ore with a tool (though you can do that), it is centered around an action packed fighting style and many different classes. Now, you are probably asking your self what I mean by "action packed"... what I mean is that the attacking is fast-paced and is more than just repeatedly wacking a bot with a stick. It is required that you jump around to avoid the enemy. 5. There are many different ways to level up! Killing enemies isn't the only way to gain more levels, you can do other things such as mining and cooking. --- End quote --- 1. Sounds just like all the others, nothing new about it at all, trying to make other versions sound less exciting by saying things like "just repeatedly wacking a bot with a stick" doesn't make your version any better, you are just denying that other medieval rpgs can have good combat, also saying you jump around and avoid the enemy? That is what you always do in every type of combat, unless you are so much stronger there is no point dodging. You stated in number 1. "StoneQuest is NOT based around repeatedly mining or by hitting an ore with a tool" but then in #5. "you can do other things such as mining and cooking." is there anything different about your mining? Is it not hitting a rock with a tool? What you need to accept is whether you intended it or not there will always be a majority of people that will just afk/grind mine to get levels/exp/resources, this cannot be avoided. Aside from my little ranty-rant there, the rest of it looks pretty good. |

For example, your pickaxe may break, or the rock may explode. You might even find a gem of some sort. About the combat, you would really have to play it to see what it is really like. |

That's a mighty fine emitter you got there in the second screeny. I've tried to make a similar one myself but it had it's problems. Does it face the player? Or is the emission delay something like 5ms? Because both options are bad, I was just wondering how you overcame the problem. |
