The reason why you call a person a tool, is because they are like a tool. What are tools? They are devices used to do a specific task. Urban dictionary describes a tool as, "One who lacks the mental capacity to know he is being used. A fool. A cretin. Characterized by low intelligence and/or self-steem." That summarizes the definition fairly well, so now explain how Iban was used. I'm going to ignore the second paragraph because I don't think you're intending to say that I should deliberately act stupid.
